Uhmm...it was more than that, an entire playable beta has been leaked.
I havent tried it yet, but I will mainly because I want to see if it runs well on my machine or not. (even thou betas are not exactly the best source to learn that from.)
In even more fucked up news, EB games says that its coming out November 27th...Alright, this has gotten nuts now. We have gone from it being released last week, to holiday 2004, to back to last week, to april, and now EB thinks its November...Almost make the release date(s) for Duke Nukem Forever seem normal.

our release dates at ebgames gets updated once a week. the half-life 2 date jumps around every week, although they should be changing it to sometime april 2004 in a week or two.
i know about the beta. well technically speaking it's an alpha. my buddy goose has it, and i talked to some of the guys at the other ebgames store that's a mile away from mine and he has it. there's only one level that actually has anything playable.

Got it, ran it, played it, trashed it.
It runs nicely, but then it bugged out on me. Ill wait for a better pre-gold version that actually has more than a single level playable.
Actually, im just going to wait when it comes out and get it.
