I'm going to Japan at the end of this year.
This is not an April Fools joke.
Today I will go to the travel agents to find out how much my flight will cost.
I hope to visit Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.
Depending on my funds, I plan on staying for at least 4 weeks.
I have 7 months and 20 days to save sufficient funds.
I will stay in a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn).
I will eat Japanese food daily.
    I will experience the dream...

One point advice if yu are going to japan
EAT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!
the food is the greatest there
          two bad things about japan
the freeways are not free (stupid)
its HOT!!! during the summer time (hot hot hot)
the people ... well the young people are stupid ignorent shit heads that needs a good ass kicking and a good lecture on the fact that dying thier hair does not make them cool
the old people ... make sure to bow (important) u wanna make a good impression, they are much wiser then anyone else on that damn god forsakin island
the murchents ... they will treat you like a freaking king weather or not you spend money
TV ... no matter what channel you flip to dont expect anime (ITS A STEREO-TYPE) if you see half naked people with fig leaves on their crotches then ... well ... I have no excuse for that because thats what japanese humor is (oh my god why are my fellow people like this?)
Train ... the rail system is confusing as hell! be prepared to get lost! If some middle aged man touches your ass you have the right to KICK HIS ASS!!!
so thats some tips and facts about my country
          any questions?
by the way Gestahr, japanese people cant pronouse english worth shit you might have a hard time teaching, their tounges just cant handle saying "V" and "B" (i dont know why)
          "OH HELL YEAH!!!"

Hehehe! This is just a holiday kinda thingy, to see if Japan is really everything that I dreamed of. If I really enjoy it, I hope to return to live there for a few years. Maybe teaching English or something (like Gestahr suggested). I've heard advertising in Australia, calling for English teachers in Japan! No qualifications required! I personally know of 2 people who have done this, and they both loved it so much. So yeah, that is deffinately an option.
I got this book on Japan recently and I've been going thru it.. what Cyber was saying is so true:
                1. young people there are gay
                2. people at service stations vacuum your carpet, wash your windows then run with you to the road while wishing you safe travels.
                3. their rail system is SCARY as hell.... (I still have nightmares)
                4. THE FOOD IS GREAT!!!!!! ^_^
It's gonna cost a bundle to get over there, I'm estimating about AU$1k per week.. staying in a ryokan is way cheaper than a Western Hotel, and usually includes a meal or two.
But I'll deffinately be taking HEAPS of pictures, and maybe even have some stuff on DV. So I might be able to post a few small video clips of anything remotely interesting that we encounter.. (no promises though)
Anyways, I'm meeting up with friends to discuss what we want to SEE exactly etc when we are there next week. I'll keep you all posted. (Cyber, if you have any suggestions feel free to bump this topic up!!)
And Jim, you're always welcome to come visit me in Australia.. LOL! MRk MRK n FnK Mz
