Haha. I'm in my Visual Basic .NET class right now. It's 20:58, I've been here since 19:00. It's pretty noob-ish right now. Mindnumbingly slow. I wish it were more like teach yourself like most college classes. It's funny sitting here listening to other people respond to the professor (who is pretty old and has some pretty nasty neck skin hanging down!) and they try really hard to make it sound like they know a lot. Example:
Instructor: When you come across a typo in a book, you rarely notice it. If you do, you probably skip over it. You don't care. Computers care, though. They follow everything to the letter. If you make a typo, what happens?
Student: It doesn't run correctly. It doesn't work. It's a bit like HTML... (goes on for a minute)
Instructor (cutting in several times): Syntax error. Syntax error. Syntax error.
ROFL I'm like just stfu and say "Syntax error!"
This is pretty cool, though. My friend Aldo Sarmiento from El Mo is taking this class, as well, so it's pretty cool, we can catch up again.
This class is gonna be a breeze. I thought we'd be typing actual code like in Torkelson's C++ class. Nope, it's all GUI. Bleah. Whatever, it should get better.![]()
...Opens 80, narrows 4 left minus tightens, into 5 right, opens 30, 5 right keep in into hairpin left, 4 plus 30, sharp 5 left into crest 20, opens 5 half long over crest...
