normal is boring, but 80% of people think they are not the 'typical' citezen even though they are. Ok, so i made that data figure up, but its very high (perhaps higher).
You ARE under the bell curve my friend.

If the "average driver" is female, and the 90% is male, then I can see where they're coming from...

The only reason the driving skill average is so low is due to a little phenomenon I like to call "elderly-volvo-driver-wearing-a-hat-and-talking-on-his-mobile-phone" (see also Bastard, Idiot, Moron). These are the tiny proportion of people that consistently cut people off, drive 20km/h under the speed limit and swerve all over the road.
But isn't avoiding dangerous drivers and yelling obscenities out our window part of the fun of driving?

Sexist, or....maybe I've just known more than my share of bad female drivers.
Don't get me wrong, plenty of males drive poorly, but its usually due to a testosterone-induced fury that involves high speeds, reckless actions, and often alcohol.
With women, I'm just convinced that many of them (not all, but many) just can't drive.
