I just got home getting my eyebrows waxed, nails and toenails done. Can't type as fast as I used to cuz I'm still adding a few more minutes to let them dry just to be on the safe side. Waxing my eyebrows didn't hurt that much as people said.....It was pretty cool, now i just gotta make aure i don't get myself killed until Friday night for the Prom.

Yes, well, neither did I. But then, I'm an introverted, antisocial weirdo.

You know what I did on prom night? I saved 200 bucks by not going to my shitty prom.

I'm not going to the ball at my college for exactly the same reason. 80 for a ticket to a night I'm not even going to enjoy? o_0

I'm sure the majority aren't what they're cracked up to be. But that doesn't mean they're all like that, even within the US.
On my side, the simple fact that a DMX track was our class' "song" for the prom was one reason (of many) why I wanted nothing to do with it.

They don't actually have proms at the end of high school in the UK. Our school just had the "now take your grades and leave" approach to the end of your studies.
To be honest I'm not really that kind of person as far as socializing is concerned. I don't do the whole let's go to a party and get wasted thing. My friends and I tend to do the sort of thing we were doing last night a lot more...post anime soc, friend who was in Japan last month brought Soul Calibur II round to mine and we all congregated for that and general chatting and stuff. To be honest, I'd probably take that over a prom, boring though I may be.

I didn't go to prom because 1) I didn't have the money [no way my parents were gonna pay for it] and 2) I couldn't drive yet [i'm not gonna pick her up with my parents!] and 3) I didn't have a date
I'm not introverted by any means.
