I have a problem. If anyone can suggest a solution it'd be appreciated.
About a week ago, I installed the Google taskbar thing because a friend said it blocks pop-ups, which it indeed does. However, since I installed it, on more than one occasion rather than getting pop-ups, I've had things resetting my homepage to porn sites. Is there anything I can do to stop this? Oddly enough I don't want to look at porn, and I certainly don't want my college IT office thinking I do. >_

Hmm... it IS odd that you don't want to look at porn...the only way I can think to stop it is to look at porn until you like it. That should solve the problem. :D Or run a virus scanner.not allowed

Ive haven't had any problems with Google doing that. Sounds like its something else, certain spyware can do that. Use the great Gestahr advice and run a virus scan.

Well, I don't know whether or not the Google toolbar has anything to do with sites hijacking your web browser. It's probably the first I've heard of it if that is indeed the case.
At the very least, run a virus and spyware scan to see if anything is laying around your drive.

I don't imagine Google itself is doing it, but the two events seem to have coincided. I'll do a scan in a bit...
Cheers.
Edit: Alright, I've run a virus scan, I've run Ad-Aware, and apparently there's nothing wrong with my pc. But it's STILL doing it. o_0
I'm perplexed. o_0
