Um, Sephiroth was total megalamaniac physco intent on destroying the planet (I'll be damned if I know what the planet was called in FF7). So not a victim, just insane...

Anyway, no! :O Nonononononononononononononono. You can't blame Sephiroth for going insane. He has what I shall cunningly term Generic Genetic Experiment Angst, wherein he finds out he's the result of horrible genetic testing, loses all sense of purpose and promptly goes insane.
Frankly it's all Hojo's fault. All of it. If Hojo hadn't been messing around with Sephiroth before he was even born then he wouldn't have ended up like he did. You can't blame Seph for things he wasn't even properly alive for. ^___^
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we mustn't clone humans. ^________^
