...and I found something for those of you who still think that games are too expensive these days. Let's take a little trip back in time, to a mere twelve years ago:

So let's cut the bitching that you have to pay $40~$50 for most new games, okay?

haha YES! i still remember those prices, which is why i will never complain how much games cost these days. what i do complain about is my lack of funds heh.
whenever a customer points out that games cost too much these days, i ALWAYS point out that back when the super nintendo was out, cartridges were $70-80.
and what's that there, am i seeing things, or is that still shrinkwrapped/factory sealed?

Nah, it's split on the right side, but I'm still not sure why I left the original wrapping with it...

whoa, I don't remeber ever paying so much for a game, but then when I was a kid I never bought my own

Makes me think of all the fucktards who say that all software (including games) should be free and open-source.

I don't really care what SNES cartridges costed 15 years ago. I don't really think it applies now. What does apply is the present difference between game costs across platforms, I guess most notably console vs PC.
And either way, I have no pesos. :P

I can't say that I have an issue with how much I have to pay for games. You can get fairly good deals if you're willing to face the incredible dishonour of waiting a couple of months or buying second hand. I know I can't afford 40 a go (that's about $70, ladies and gents, and that's standard for a new PS2 game here...

) so I buy stuff second hand, generally for less than half that.

it's not buying the games that bother me too much, the only real thing that's pissed me off in terms of incurring alot of cost is the gamecube memory card.
bought a new gamecube with a few games and got a mem card with it of course, got back and started playing and was a happy chappy. now a few months down the line i buy some more games and guess what, the memory card is so damn small i need like 10 of them or something to save all my games :/

Clear old unessesary saves, as well as any rented or (uncared for) finished games?
Like do you really need that save of mario golf or something? I cleaned my PS2 card a little while ago, getting rid of things like SSX1, street figher, theme park and JP's hockey crap.
