CHV Lives On

Five and a half months after "coming out" officially to his parents, Mark's story heats up as his mother finds out about his secret lover. Her expected reaction is one of concern, betrayal and sorrow. Worry - stemming from the inherent risks of relationships - a breached trust that will take time to be reestablished and a deep sorrow which confirms a lack of understanding and comfort in regards to her son's sexuality.
As she desperately tries to hide this new-found news from her husband, an intricate web of lies is spun to cover her own pain. While it appears obvious that this can only lead to more future complications, her anxiety clouds her better judgement. One can only hope that, in time, she too will see that life does goes on.
