The way I see it, it's the next generation of graphics whores and name-brand gamers who don't give a damn about anything that came before them (ie, the world started at their birth, not realizing that it started at MINE).
I'm not completely sold on the idea either, as there's quite a variety of sarcasm and knowledge (along with a complete lack thereof of both at times) for a bunch of little kids. They know about the Atari ET fiasco, but their comments on Tetris are along the lines of "This is boring. Maybe if it had characters and stuff and different levels, it would be OK. If things blew up or something or-."?
I'm guessing that EGM did a little more than edit out the passive-agressive gay bashing in their creation/editing of this piece. Still fairly amusing.

Are we allowed to start complaining that children had better taste in games in our day yet? Are we? Are we?? ^__^

              LOFL.. I like those kids...
But yeah, it's obvious that they knew more than they let on (or tried to let on anyway)... and I too find it hard to believe that they didn't know about tetris, or atleast the gameplay.

"Kirk: And you can't pick up an AK-47 and go killhey, those aliens on the top row, you use them in EGM for stuff.
EGM: Yeah, we use them to end our articles. They do kinda look like they're from Space Invaders, don't they?
Tim: They're going to sue you.
Kirk: I'm sure everyone who made this game is dead by now."
If i have a kid, i'm going to force her/him to play atari, nes and snes games until 5 or so - then i'll get them a current gen console. These kids are raised on games like GTA and CS.. WHYY!!!

I have to puke. I can't believe there are people who can't recognize the Donkey Kong hammer. They don't mind using it in the Super Smash Bros. series, but they lose their dignity in Donkey Kong? Hmm....... Can't think of a good signature. :p
