        Right, so.
"hit.avi" was to show what happens when the Colossi hammer makes contact with you. The frame rate is from my computer, not the game; I didn't feel like recapturing it.
"sotcfight.avi" is the first recorded fight with the Colossus, where I climb up from the back leg.
"new sotc.avi" is an exploration of the basic world, not beyond the unbroken bridge.
"new fight.avi" is the second recorded fight with the Colossus, in which I go up the arm instead of the leg.
"sotc worldrender.avi" is a relatively extensive view of the world beyond the unbroken bridge.
So, how do I feel about it? It's a lot of fun; the horse controls take a little getting used to, but it's nothing too bad. Climbing the Colossus was difficult at first, but it got easier as I went through it multiple times. The small, pink circle in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen is your stamina meter. When that runs out, you'll no longer be able to hold onto whatever you're holding. There are small lizards in the world(you can just barely see them on the second bridge that I cross in "sotc worldrender.avi") if you shoot their tails with an arrow, it'll eventually break off, after which you can eat it to up your stamina and health slightly.
Graphically, the game is a mix; it's important to note that this demo is from E3, so it's possible things have been tightened up since then. The world is huge, and the only loading present is when you start for the first time, or die and retry. One of the problems, now, is that geometry sort of pops in; it can be a bit disconcerting at first, but after a while I had gotten used to it, so it really wasn't a problem. The character models aren't as complex as they are in other games, but given the world and the Colossi, it's expected.
Also, you'll notice a lot of stuff fading in and out in "sotc worldrender.avi"; this is presumably because I was in an area I wasn't supposed to be in the demo. When the screen goes black at the end of this video, it's because I crashed the game by going to far. There's also a small beach that I avoided in order to fit the time limit I was working with. not allowed

          Looks fun! heh
But, I do hope there are puzzle/traversing elements to it, and not just following the light to a colossus and having a "boss battle", rinse and repeat.

Well, that's the idea. It's not all going to be as easy or straight through as this was, though. Looking at the map in the video, you can see that I go really, really far without actually going that far on the map. The first part of a battle is finding a Colossus, the second part is figuring out how to get to it, the third part is figuring out how to climb it and the fourth part is killing it. That is pretty much the game, in a nutshell; find a Colossus and kill it. Rinse, and repeat, 16 times. :D There's no Ico puzzle-stuff here, as far as I know. The entire game is based around the 16 boss battles. not allowed

Ren, who knows it'll still be fun but loved the Myst appeal of the first.

You win many many golden internet cookies for posting the videos, Gest. *nods sagely* I have a question, however. Given that the only chance of me playing this game in the next year or so will be playing it in Japanese, what's the amount of text like? Cause if we're talking Ico-levels I'm fine.

In the demo, at least, Ico-levels of text. They don't really present any of the story, though, and it's all directions on how to play. That having been said, however, from what I've heard, the story stuff is a little heavier than Ico's was, but it's nothing akin to, say, FFX. not allowed
