Ok, someone told me (and other sites [like IGN] have reported) that Samanosuke from Onimusha was made in the image of Takeshi Kaneshiro. However, when I first saw the box art, I thought of Koji Tsuruta (mostly known as Kojiro Sasaki in the Samurai Trilogy). Is it just me or is there another resemblance...

So, is it just me? Or am I just sticking to my first assumption, which was while on a major caffine high...?

i HAVE heard this somewhere,
that the character movements were captured from a famous old samurai actor, while his looks were modelled after somebody also famous in japan.
the name sasaki DOES ring a bell,... but i can't confirm. ... shit, only if i could figure out where i heard this...
