Crap, I think I more or less killed my PS2.
Games for the most part still work, but they're occasionally freezing and skipping. DVD video shows something is definately wrong with the decompressor, with the screen basically BLUE and covered with video artifacts.
    Crap, I think I killed my PS2.

Oh, man, what the hell did you do, drop it out a window during a storm? Mine's been durable enough to survive some pretty hefty drops with just surface scratches.

        A) Whoops, thought this was the PS2 board. Feel free to move it over there. Sorry.
        B) Nope, that's the thing. In the year (almost) that I've had it, it has been MOVED maybe twice. Other than that, its stayed in the EXACT same spot.

Did you leave it next to a room humidifier? Because a console just ceasing to function, that's a little weird. I'm willing to bet my life savings the warranty's run out.

I hope it wasn't an act of god, cause that's not covered in the waranty... they made sure to mention that several times. Several.

Did you chip it? Hope not... a blue screen would usually indicate moisture damage to the those scan strip thingies... I have no idea what's inside a PS2 though, so.. oh bleh, anyway.

Well maybe there's dust in your PS2 cuz somebody told me that it's sensitive to dust. Maybe you just gotta get some kind of air spray thing and blow the dust out of the console. I just blow into the airports of my PS2 cuz can I see some dust collecting on the grids.Mugetsu: "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
