I just got really nostalgic and started trying to find CHV stuff. Archive.org was a no-go because whoever owns chv.net now set up a robots.txt exclusion which blocks even the old stuff from showing up. Sucks because I know you used to be able to see the site from archive.org.
I remember years ago I had a couple screenshots of CHV.net that I took when the site was still up just so I could remember what the site looked like. Of course, this was back when I ran PCs, and those drives have long since died. I don't even remember the site layout anymore.
One of my favorite moments of CHV was that one contest they had. I don't remember what the prize was. I do remember Bo filmed a computer screen and how he got super excited over the random number generator that was running and the suspense of it all.
It sucks that, even with all this technology, there is very little evidence that Cyber Hippie Vision even existed. I did a bunch of google searches and, other than a passing mention of the site, there's nothing out there. Kinda bums me out.
This little messageboard used to bubble over with activity but now it's drier than [insert something super dry here].
I know only like 3 or 4 people still post here once every three weeks, but does anyone still have anything from CHV.net? More specifically, does anyone have any of Leo aka Pi's music that he used on the site? I can't find them anywhere on the internet. I remember Leo made a few sites, one of them when he got married (right?) and put them up. Of course, they're all gone. I haven't talked to Bo or Leo in years.
Sorry, I just got super nostalgic.
