It's a new weekly that focuses strictly on stuff you either won't see at all or won't see for a while stateside. It runs 15 to 20 pages and they're a buck a piece, check it out if you get a chance.not allowed

Right now I'm more undecided on whether Newtype USA is worth it... I got a copy yesterday. $10 is a lot for a magazine, even if it IS a big magazine with a dvd. The whole putting it right to left like a Japanese publication is a bit meh...pretentious imo, even if they are trying to be as close to the Japanese version as they can. Then again, that really didn't fit (and I was really annoyed about this :"> ) with having the free dvd only in dubbed English. Surely anyone who cares enough to want their magazine in the "authentic" Japanese style isn't going to want to watch dubs as their first choice.

Vidiot, they converted the weekly to a monthly, IE, it has 4 weeks worth of Naruto each month, and it's only 5 bucks.
And to Katy, it's not pretentious, it's cost-effective and BETTER. This way they don't have to completely fuck the layout, but I do agree that the DVD should have had the J-Language track. This is why the English never get things, all they do is complain. not allowed

I'm not complaining about it, it just seems a little odd given that they don't care about just having the English language dub on the dvd. I don't get what they're trying to say about themselves...we want our magazines authentic but our anime dubbed?
