Anime is good and all but why not consider some old school american cartoons too? i mean some of those old ones like Thunder Cats were directed by a Japanese animator.
    Ninja Turtles
    Heman
    Pirates of Darkwater
    Conan the Adventureer
    Silver Hawks
    Defenders of the Earth
    transformers
    GI Joe
    C.O.P.S
they measured up to my standards and i think its better then some of the half assed cartoons and animes of today. and i rather hear optomis prime speak then listen to mitsune say "ya'll" aint i right?
and to you non domestic hippies did you guys ever watch ninja turtles in your country? i mean it was popular back in those days. i mean they even had a movie! three of them!
    Pirates of Darkwater...
    [sigh]
    i feel so old...

People like Sephy may mock it, but I've got my Transformers Season 1 on DVD, as well as the movie.
I'll also admit here, for the first time, that I owned quite a lot of He-Man and Thundercats toys.
Ah, gotta love growing up in the 80's.

Yep, we had almost all of them on tv in England/Germany. How much do I want Thundercats action figures.
Actually, we were having a really random conversation in my ju-jitsu class a couple of days ago. Someone asked our sensei what kind of staff Donatello used in the Turtles. Hehe, we were standing there for about ten minutes until we eventually came to the conclusion that he uses a bo in the movies and a jo in the cartoon. (It's the difference in size, see? ) We get off-topic pretty often in class, sensei is hilarious.
