i was just wondering what u guys use for napster alternatives now that napster has pretty much been neutered by the courts...

'beershare'??? u mean bearshare rite? i dunt think i've ever heard of 'beershare'... tho that would be a cool concept... a beer sharing client... lol...
personally, i've tried out napigator, which worked ok at first, but now i'm having trouble connecting to various servers, so i gave up on it... then i tried audio gnome, but it didn't really work for me... so now i use audio galaxy... i guess i'll check out bearshare as well sometime...

like for example........ now that they have blocked songs just misspell the song/artist
example; Korn=K0rn=KoRn etc

Well when I was your age sonny...I downloaded all my MP3's from HTTP sites . Honestly, I can remember the days before Napster and how I got a whole lot of cool songs from geocities sites and the like . I have one whole CD of Eva mp3's and a whole bunch of game music that I got by doing that. Unfortunately Napster killed off most of the trading that happened that way, and now that Napster is pretty much a ghost...well...it's not looking too good anymore.
I have found that mispelling the names of blocked songs is the best way to find them, but it's a royal pain in the @ss. Fortunately most of the music I listen to isn't all that popular, so I can still find tons of cool songs that I like .

ahhh i remember when i downloaded mp3s from httpsite ahh the memories....but when i found napster BAM i left the httpsite and went to napster....
