Just watched it and i have to say i shouldnt have watched it.
Same special effects nothing new. Gets into some details but leaves the story hanging in a way that you kind of dont care anymore. Some philosophy that hasnt been well thought through and connections with the Animatrix. Some funny lines by the token black guy and everyone is dressed in black. Nothing new. zzzzz
It basiclly had the standard sequel problems. It does not measure up to the original. Repeated special effects and nothing to keep the audiance really intrested.
Was it worth paying $9.50 waiting 2 hours in line fight for seats and wait 4 years for the release? No :">

Go see Equilibrium; it's like the Matrix, only it has great action scenes, a great story, great actors and no robot overlords. It's also fully contained in one movie.not allowed

You should have spent that $9.50 on X2!

            I didn't like X2 that much...
Matrix Reloaded will have to wait until next week, although I think I'm suffering from blockbuster fatigue already. I'm not hugely looking forward to seeing the Matrix even though I'll go...I didn't want them to make a sequel that much...the ending of the first film was fine.

              Blasphemy!!!
Bah, I'm an old school X-Men fan...can't get enough of Wolverine.
Matrix Reloaded didn't "suck", it just needed to be shorter...much shorter... I can think of about 30 minutes worth of unnecessary crap I would have cut out, like the whole rave/annoying people jumping around to loud music/silly love story/sex scene and the cybernetic sequence where the camera goes up the blond woman's crotch. Cuz really, what did that add to the story?

You know what Equilibrium doesn't have? Worthless crap. :D
X2 rocked my socks, by the way. I almost pissed myself when I caught wind of the Pheonix stuff going on there; I'm kind of upset, though. It seems the third movie will prolly encompass the pheonix saga, which means no sentinels for Steve. ;_;not allowed

                  "Same special effects nothing new."
So...the bizzilon-dollar scene of Neo fighting 100 agent smiths was something you have seen before? The highway chase which they created their own highway and way of filming specifically for that scene was in another movie? What magical land do you live in?
Was it the fact they actually used CG for some of the scenes...that would be physically imposable to do without...
X2 rocked and so did Reloaded. After the credits rolled for the end of Reloaded the trailer for Revolutions was fucking awesome. Only couple problems with Reloaded: Where the hell did Tank go? And that dance scene was to long and boring.

i though x2 and matrix2 were both great. i hate being a movie critic and thinking a movie sucks, it makes me feel like i've wasted $10, so why not just look at the good parts of it, whatever that may be instead of making myself shitty because i wasted $10 on a movie i never liked.

BTW, gest. what makes you think they will skip the whole phoenix saga? it was huge in the comic and cartoon editions.
