But I thought rumble wasn't necessary!
I thought rumble is last gen!
I thought that SIXAXIS control was moving us into the future, while rumble was keeping us locked to the past!
On the positive side, they did show some impressive video. Seeing Pokemon Sna-...Afrika in HD is a truly beautiful experience.
Here's hoping Uncharted actually lives up to the hype. Without it, I won't have a single PS3 game to buy between now and the end of the year.
EDIT 2: Scratch that, I forgot that the Collector's Edition of Stranglehold STILL isn't out yet...
EDIT: Am I the only one who is completely left in the dark with all of the hype surrounding HOME? I mean, it could be a neat little app, but I honestly don't think I could care much less. Granted, I'm not the Myspace-type demographic that they're looking for, but still...
Am I missing something there?
My God, you're right. They actually showed something approaching gameplay for Afrika. That in itself is unbelievable.
And no, I don't get Home either, but it was the only thing to get people excited about the PS3 in a long time. So naturally Sony couldn't let that goodwill continue.
Home's popularity is tantamount to the insane popularity surrounding achievements. It's another way for people to extend their e-penises. "Yo dawg, check out this mad crazy Lair trophy!" not allowed
The stuff I've read about home, which isn't very much mind you, has made it sound like a combo of the sims (ie home building/cyber barbie) and public profile communities (myspace, facebook). So if you are a fan of either/both, it'll be like candy.
Why didn't anyone tell me that sony stopped producing not only the 20GB console, but has now also ended production on the 60GB? I'd been saving for a 20GB at xmas price drop.. but I can't find 'em anywhere... and come the holiday I don't think I'll be able to find any 60GBs.
The 80GB is selling for $659.99. I wonder what PS2 sales will be like this xmas, nevermind PS3?

Quote:PS3 version of a multiplatform game that's not late and/or underperforming.
Still waiting for one, Sony.
World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelets.
Same release date for both 360 and PS3, and the features seem identical.
Not quite a TKO from Tokyo, but still...it's at least one.
That's almost cheating.
Looks like the 360 version has camera support while the PS3 has none, but I can't really tell since it looks like nobody (save Jim) really knows it exists.
Sorry, I'm grasping for straws, and that's about as much as I could come up with.
I didn't even think of the Live Vision camera, since I just assumed the PS3 one had legacy support for the PS2 Eye Toy.
