I remember when all the posts at the old CHV message board used to say how much better FF9 was compared to FF8...what happened?

Nothing much. This is a new CHV message board after all.
You should be happy though, being the staunch supporter of FFVIII that you seemed to be.
Garnet is too young, Yuna is too plain. Rinoa is...

Oh, but I am happy. Believe me, I whole heartedly agree with those of us around here that think 8 was better than 9. I'm just asking where they went, cause I remember there was a whole bunch of FF9 supporters that got into the whole flame war thing. Not that I have the energy to start another one (reading for uni is killing me). And doraemi, yes, a few of us here have played FF games before 7 (namely 4, a little of 5, and part of 6). It's just that, frankly, the FMVs changed so much in the way of story-telling, that's what we remember from those games. I remember more from FF7's story than from FF4 (and I haven't finished FF7).Every action has the potential to fill or empty one's heart...587495...

I thought it was ok, there were only ones I like better.

Yes, it was good, but not as good as it could have been. I personally missed that special kind of importance you feel when playing Final Fantasy. Listen to the track "the stage is set" from Final Fantasy VIII and you'll know what I mean.

All these games have homosexual overtones in them. Thats why I love Final Fantasy.-Spok-
