It sucked. 
I was going to write a lengthy piece, but I'm lazy, so you all get the short version. The one thing I will say, though, is that if you've never ever seen anything related to Initial D, you may very well enjoy it; that having been said, the good, then the bad.
Good:
All of the actors were pretty great, and they fit their roles
They used the correct cars
The recreation of Akina was nice
Um...
Bad:
Characters were changed DRASTICALLY for no reason, ie, Bunta was changed from the cool, lazy father in the manga/anime to an alcoholic, physically-abusive, pervert in the movie. At one point, when Takumi is taking Natsuki to the beach, he's embarrassed to take his towel off of his shoulder because his back is covered with scars. When Natsuki asks about it, he talks about how after his mother left, his father would get drunk and beat him every night(saying that one of the scars is from a few years ago, with one being from a week ago), and her reply is "A man needs a few scars! Your father loves you!"(I'm not making this @#%$ up)
Characters were cut for no reason(Takahashi Keisuke and Kouichirou Iketani were the most notable)
Itsuki was the new head of the SpeedStars, and drove Iketani's car until Takumi impressed him with his 86
Eurobeat music was completely absent(whether you love it or hate it, it makes everything seem faster in the anime; a lot of the races didn't seem as fast thanks to it's absence)
They tried to do way too much(they tried to cram stages 1-3 into the movie, mixing up scenes and people like crazy)
Itsuki and Takumi were apparently delinquents who had been expelled from school
So, overall, the movie sucked.
