So...has anyone changed their mind about not getting the X-Box since the last topic (a couple of months ago, I think...)?
I think I've been turned. Most of my arguments against it have been refuted, and right now the only major gripe is a) the controller and b) the lack of interesting games.
I'll probably get it sometime down the road, when a killer app title gets ported onto it.
p.s. wow, this board really died since the start of October.

      Nope, my mind hasn't changed...
...I'm still getting mine launch day.
I am delaying my Game Cube until early next year though, too much to get in the meantime, and not enough "MUST HAVE" games as of now.

Yes, I have $30 saved for the giant bigger than my VCR box. By the end of next week I will hopefully have $84 saved. Not much, but for a small basement job which im really not supposed to have considering im under age... :-p

not really atm. although a slight sense in me really wants a part of the xbox to achieve success... that part being the whole international model (not needing mods etc) i really think if companies made consoles universal we could all live in happyness and forever and ever not need mods (read: piracy) to play import games.

Nope, I ain't looknig forward on getting XBox. One major reason is that I'm happy enough with my PC and PS2. And I don't think there's gonna be a lot of good game titles for XBox; c'mon it's made by Bill Gates. C'mon, how good is he at games? He's only good at making software for Windows. Plus, I don't want my dad to spend lots of money on me since he's working hard enough supporting me and my sister. Well, supporting me isn't that hard cuz I hardly ask for anything. I usually ask for a few things once or twice a month; my b-day's and Christmas don't count.Mugetsu: "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry." Rips off his nightvision goggles that were resting on his head, "I DON'T CARE IF I DESTROY MY MIND !! JUST AS LONG AS I SLAUGHTER ALL OF YOU !!!"

bill gates personally doesn't make games.
let's see, which games have come out of microsoft..
              the ms flight simulator series
              age of empires
              various simulators
              mechwarrior 4
              asheron's call
              allegiance
              freelancer
plus a bunch more that i can't think of. microsoft can't make games? think again. that's the same thing people said when they started msn, and look at it now, it's successful.

After seeing the third MGS2 trailer, all I can say is that I want ANY kind of confirmation that MGS2 WILL come out on the XBOX eventually. I'll still get it for the PS2 the day it comes out, but I'd like to see something like that running on XBOX hardware.

Halo has been officially screwed over on the xbox.. it doesnt even have multiplayer?
i really cant say i like ANY of those MS games maybe except for a tad bit of age of empires..
and thats only ever at multiplayer.
but hey. aslong as the competition doesnt kill my supported consoles outright. im all happy. competition is never a bad thing. its still happydayshttp://geekfood.dknx.net

What are you talking about no multiplayer?
Not only can you have a 4 player match without the need for any extra accessory (ie Sony Multitap), but you can also hook up multiple XBOX CONSOLES together to multiple TV's. Even at E3 they had a 4 on 4 match going on without any networking problems, and I'm not positive, but there might have been an 8 on 8 match too (ie hooking up 4 XBOXes together).
But I know you can play with at least 8 people in multiplayer.
