Erm, codecs should work with any type of media player.
Being windows all media playback is standardised, so you could make a computer program with just one line that would play media.
If it's a movie I'm watching I just hit:
windows key
R (run dialog appears)
mplayer2 [enter]
then i open the movie.
if i don't have the codec mplayer looks for it on the windows website (ie, it would find wmp9 codecs).
Simple as that!
By the way, Alt+enter should get you into full-screen.
May not work on wmp9 cos I havn't used it, ever.
Edit: Oh and if it's playback is slowed down or a crappy framerate that's a lack of RAM avaliable, yes you guessed it, WMP9 uses yet more RAM.... yay! Use winamp3 kids.Damn it all to hell... I need to pay for a HTML sig?
WinAmp3 blows harder than that WMP9; all-in-ones magically suck. If you want a nice player for movies, get Sasami2k and use WinAmp 2 for audio. Sasami2k is still beta and it crashes now and then, but it's pretty light system-resource wise.not allowed
When one goes into fullscreen via "alt-enter", the bottom controlls usually stay there for a couple secs then dissapear.
The problem was for me they just stuck there and no matter how many retarded "hide control bar" options I clicked it didnt go away.
