First car, suggestions please!

Hello planning to get my first car and I have a range of choices to choose from. Give me any bad (esp) or good thoughts on either pleease.
In order of what i'm likely to get..
Mazda SP20
Subaru Impreza
Peugeot 307
Honda Civic
Toyota Rav4

Of the five, I'd have either an Impreza or a Civic...I just like them better. I think the Rav4 is kinda ugly, but then I don't like that sort of car very much.

Oh i like the impreza just as much as i do the sp20, but the sp20 is about 5grand (AUD) cheaper than the impreza so its an easy decision between them when im considering price.

actually ive been thinking and i've put forward the idea of getting a Mazda6, my dad likes it. so i think its a go. go. go.
