Um...I can't read. Is it actually a remake? Or is it going to be like the crappy re-releases where they just added some FMV's and stuck the games on a CD to make them worse via load screens? Me confuzzled.

I've been looking around, and the general consensus in translation is that this is actually a CG movie set two years after the end of FFVII.
That actually doesn't sound nearly as good as what I thought when I first saw that pic a few hours ago (i.e., an entirely new game), and I'm actually a little miffed they're removing the lovely ambiguity from FFVII's ending.
But I'll take what I can get and, damnit, I'll be happy.---

what??? Square actually makeing a final fantasy movie thats actually based and has to do with a final fantasy game! OMG!
The realistic Cloud looks pretty cool, there was some better pictures.
But im a little freaked. Past movies/animes that had to do with final fantasy were not...eh...good...

            Quote:
At a second press conference today Square Enix announced a new twist on an old favorite with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, an original CG movie using characters from the franchise's first appearance on Sony hardware. The announcement put to rest the months of speculation on a remake of Final Fantasy VII with the revelation that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children would revisit the characters from the classic game. A brief clip of the movie was shown that gave glimpses of Cloud and Sephiroth's new look and the high level of detail going into the CG. At present, the movie is expected to run roughly 60 minutes.

I don't think cloud looks as hot as he use to... I was sooo inlove with the cartoonish looking cloud.. why does square have to make EVERYTHING realistic looking now! I'd rather see it in the original style!!
BTW, anyone know what's the difference of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories? (Besides on two different systems) Are the stories, etc going to be the same?

BTW, i couldn't find any other scans of Cloud or Sephiroth, where are they Vidiot? the only website i found that had any picture other than the same magazine scan is IGN.. but they are really small, low res.
Oh wait, they DO look really good!!

Some higher-res pics from the mag here: www.the-magicbox.com/game092903b.htm
I suppose it'd be too much wishful thinking to believe that the stained-glass window behind Cloud is from Aerith's Church.
The second pic is obviously a flashback. Seph's got a long nose.
The third pic is one of interest. Both characters have had their costumes redesigned, in keeping with Nomura's more recent style. Cloud obviously has the sleeve, and Sephiroth is in latex bondage gear with flared cuffs. He also got a new sword (split blade? tassel?) and a haircut.---
