But FF8 was closed. FF7 left huge holes open; I'd rather know what actually happened after the shining white light in the ending than see a game based around Squall and Rinoa's wedding. ;pnot allowed

Why would an FFVII sequel suck? Because they wouldn't be able to (without the help of some huge, hideous deus ex machina ) have the best character in the whole game in it. No, not Aeris. Sephiroth!!
More cheesy Sephiroth cameos in games, please Square. Because you need to cheapen the best villain you ever invented a little more, just like these sequels are going to do to the whole series.

I'm sure they could. Besides, Sephiroth was a wuss compared to the Atma weapon. Now there was a villain you could be scared of. Atma, I miss you... ;_; *sniff* not allowed
