Whether you be trip-hoppers, trance lovers, into funky house or techno crazy.. even if you're into Jazz. Drum and Bass has something for you. Like how poems are percieved differently by each of us.. depending on the experiences we've experienced. We're unique and what we here is different from what the next person hears, even though you'll be listening to the same tune.
For anyone who hasn't heard of Drum N Bass.. it's a kind of dance music which originated in East London (UK) in the very early 9Ts. Formerly known as Jungle because of it's fusion of various sounds like Reggae, rave and sometimes RnB. It's roots are deeper than you can imagine.
No individual(s) set out to create Jungle, but it was a result of people in the underground dance scene experimenting with sounds and fusing them. They saw what the dance floor appreciated and thus they saw an opportunity.
The Jungle scene was born and in the early days there were a lot of warehouse parties where Jungle was played.. the sound got larger and it started playing in clubs.
At the same time, pioneers of the sound were developing the music known as jungle.. experimenting with beats.. these people were known as White Coats (like scientists)to producers in the scene.
The music has come very far from the days of Jungle. Now, producers of Drum N Bass music are among the most talented music producers in the world. And Drum N Bass has offered a lot to other dance music like House music, UK Garage, Hip Hop and RnB. No one knows how to manipulate beats better than DnB producers.
If you want to hear Drum N Bass.. here's a list of tracks that you should listen to.. keep in mind, that Drum N bass today is diverese.. you get hard beats, you get softer beats, you get it fused with jazz.. fused with disco etc, it's a world-wide scene, but still underground.
