Alright, can anybody please explain to me what the deal is with this DOA 2/DOA: Hardcore thingy?
A friend of mine explained to me a few weeks ago that DOA: Hardcore is the PS2 version of DOA 2.
    So I was like: "Fine."
So I went to this gamestore and I was like: "You got DOA: Hardcore?"
Than the ass replied to me: "Nope, I only got DOA 2"
I was like: "WTF?! That's the same game!"
So he was like: "...I don't know."
Me: "WTF you stupid or something? You're working in a gamestore, you're supposed to know this stuff so you can advise me."
    He: "I'm Sorry."
    So I was like: "WTF!?"
So I picked up his DOA 2 thingy and it definitely said: "Dead or Alive 2" and it didn't mention anything about Hardcore or something (oh and yes, I did hold the PS2 version and not the Dreamcast version or something).
    So what's the deal?

BTW. My recent activity on this board is due to the fact that I bought a new PS2, for the second time (you all know the story, if you don't, don't ask).

Dead Or Alive 2-Hardcore, not DOA-Hardcore.

"DOA 2: Hardcore" is the only version of DOA2 on the PS2, whether its labeled as such or not. "DOA 2" is the DC version.
        That what you're asking?

actually, i think the two are different. i rememeber when we first got DOA2 for the PS2 when we were doing some $#!Ttalks on the game. at the time, it was labeled "Dead or Alive 2".
a couple of weeks ago, i had a friend bring me DOA 2 : hardcore, it's the same game, but with more stages, and the system seems to be more stable. before, DOA2 used to crash in the 2 player mode, and bo and i thought the disc was fucked up or something... but it wasn't. it was just a bug - a critical one at that...
the game i have right now -DOA2 hardcore - is stable and i get no crashes from it. the stages are awesome. i think the game came out about 4 months after the original one.
hope this clears up your questions.
