I can't read books. Anything with more words than pictures and my concentration span disappears.

Michael Ende, "The Neverending Story" (yes, the one the movies are based on)
It's much better than you'd think, and the translation is superb. I still recommend it to anyone who can read and can enjoy an experience, regardless of age.
Ayn Rand sucks. She has maybe one or two fractured kernels of good ideas buried in the mountainous piles of shit-drivel she passes off as literature/philosophy. Just throwing that out.

Look for it. It's great, and surprisingly nihilistic.

I used to read a lot. Then as I got older, I guess I didn't know WHAT to read. So I stopped.
Then a year or 2 ago I picked up "Ice Station" by Matthew Reilly.
Ever since I've been hooked to Reilly's style. If you can't read huge novels coz you find them boring or long-winding, I would recommend Ice Station and some of his other titles (Contest, Temple, Area 7). They are action the WHOLE way through!! "UN-put-downable" Two of his books are already in production to be made into movies..
Ice Station is the kind of book that converts people. It's huge; I think over 500pages. And every person I've lent it to has finished it within a week tops. I read it in 3 days.
By the way, Matthew Reilly is an Aussie too. go aussie go!MRk MRK n FnK Mz

                      hahaha!
Yeah, he's a pretty mad author. He appeals to the generation that isn't usually interested in reading. MRk MRK n FnK Mz
