I thought you were done with girls for the month? :i Methinks this is going to be the same vicious cycle it always has been.
Anyhoo, as for paying for everything, thats a grey area. If you invite someone out, you should pay for everything. Not because you're a guy and she's a girl, but because you were the one to extend the invite. In that same respect, if the girl asked you out, she should be the one to pay. If a girl asks you out and expects you to pay, she's a bitch. If a girl asks you out, expects you to pay and you do, then you're a tool(or a doormat).
I can understand wanting to pay for things for people, I myself enjoy buying things for friends and family and womens that I like; however, I know enough not to go overboard. It seems to me that you paid for this girls ticket and you're going to paying for gas back and forth and then back and forth again as well; I can't understand why you're doing this, as you pretty consistently seem to have a shortage of cash. My advice, and it's not meant to be insulting in anyway, is to think with the head on your shoulders.
And BuMz, quit rubbing your fake homosexual relationship in our faces. :Onot allowed

well see no i've learned. i've thrown out the retarded "Friends zone" bullshit and now it's "friends first above anything else".
the reason why i'm doing this is because i want to be a good friend. jen made me realize something last week: i'm a philanthropist. she seems really cool, like someone i wish lived closer so i could hang out with her more often. i'm not looking for anything more than friends right now because i've realized i don't think i could handle having a girlfriend.
and no i know what you mean dude. i'm not looking to do anything with her in that way, i just wanted to make a good first impression.

My girlfriend pays for some stuff. When i copped a big fat $400 speeding ticket my girlfriend paid for alot of things that I could have taken care of, but she insisted. And I am thankful she nags me to slow down when i speed a little.

Your case is an exception, Moon. It seems like this was less of an invite and more of a "Let's go!", "Sure, this sounds fun. It's something I wouldn't be able to do otherwise."
The whole idea behind paying once you've invited someone is that you're repaying their favor to you. The favor to you is giving up some portion of their day or night and giving you their company; you repay that favor by buying them dinner, etc. Your current situation, it seems like you're givinggivinggiving and getting very little in return, so the whole "inviter pays" dynamic doesn't apply to this situation, even if you were the one who asked her if she wanted to go. I'm assuming here that we're talking about the driving way out of your way to bring a girl to a show by a band I've never heard of before.not allowed

Guys that will do anything for a girl ISN'T rare. They all just get ignored and put in the shadow of guys that stand out and don't care.

You need to be careful, though. There's acting like you don't care, and then there's not caring. Acting like you don't care will get you ladies, not caring will get you ladies that hate you.not allowed
