Boyfriends take up time and money too, so it does go both ways.. Particularly when a gay couple is involved. We don't get that bullshit of "the guy pays for whatever the girl wants." We both just stare at the bill together.

Totally. My boyfriend and I take the pragmatic approach to billpaying. Whichever of us has any money that day does it! So it works out pretty even most of the time.

But both sides agree that the error is not in you getting the girl whatever she wants, as much as it is the girl expecting you to get whatever she wants.

well ok i'm driving to santa monica from orange, which is around 50 miles one way, to pick up my friend jen -- who i have never met in person before, and have only been talking to her for a month or so -- to go see coheed and cambria perform at the house of blues anaheim, which is 6 miles away from my house. so i'm driving 50 miles out of town to take her.
also apparently she's been wanting to meet me in person for 2 years now, or so she says.
