Everybody!!! I finally have Final Fantasy 9 in my hands! Just came out today in my local store here in Australia! My day could not possibly get any better!!!
Damn it, I'm at work and have to wait until I get HOME to play though...

i just lent my FF9 to my friend yesterday...and he already skipped 2 classes today just to play it...;D my next step is lending ff9 to my all time academic competitor *evil smile*

Have fun playing the game Min...I think it's the best of the series (my opinion). The game played out more like a movie rather than a RPG (lots of CGs), anyway...don't want to spoil anything. Have fun!

hey min.. where abouts are you in Australia??!! i live in melb and i havent seen FFIX anywhere yet! hRmZ.. hasnt even been advertised.. damn australian non-rpg playing community! gRrRzZz... if u got it in a local store im asuming u mean its an orig title right? do let me know.. ive been hanging out for FFIX for almost a year now (how sad) and its killing me!! ahhhhh! dammit.. by the time i get to play it, FFX will be well and truely on its way down under...

Yeah, I haven't seen much advertising for FFIX, except in EB. The problem with Australia is that it's not really viewed as a gaming nation, y'know? They're hardly ever advertised on the TV, and the only place I find solid information on them is from the internet.
And I'm not even going to START on the Dreamcast launch!

Here in N. Ireland I've seen the Ad twice now (the "how far would you go to save the princess" one) I was a bit worried when I started playing thought it was'nt that good, I'm really getting in too it now. Still like 7 the best though! I heard they were making a re-make for the PS2. That would be a good enough reason for me too get one.

What advertising? Down here in Australia there isn't any advertising for games. It's sad really. The only games that I can remember getting any advertising at all, eg. TV ads, are FFVII which fot those cool ads with aeris dying and ifrit in them. Then there was Tomb Raider, which got a real short ad with Lara running around shooting things. Then ofcourse there was Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64, there's probably been others, but believe me there aren't many more. Our only sources of gaming info are magazines and the internet.
Sigh..... How depressing.
