I havent finished disk one yet and I have been at it for 7h ish. I'm savouring it. Cuz i've only got disk one at the mo! I downloaded it don't worry I'll get the legal version when it comes here. But I coul'nt wait! Its a lovely lookin' game but I think I liked the more modern fantasy feel of VII & VIII. I remember seeing the Ad for final fantasy viii in the cinema, man that was cool! I was so impressed! Any one know when the PC version is out?Jed

FFVIII in a cinema? Wish I could've seen that! Got to agree about liking the modern look of FFVII/FFVIII more. FFVIII was seriously classy, imo. There was just something pretty cool about the style of it. Not that I don't like FFIX, I do, I've been playing it like non-stop since I got it, but it's just not hitting me like FFVIII did. Good game anyway, and I know it satisfied a lot of people in going back to the more medieval style.

Lucky, I got my copy 2. BUT! The first cd just had to fuck up! Well, not the cd, my bro drop it and it got a major scratch. I only got to the part after saving garnet and escaping from the forest.-End Message****MAJORCOOKE****

I don't remember a FFVIII ad in theaters, but I do remember one for FFVII.
However, FFVIII DOES make an appearance in Charlie's Angels, even though two kids are supposedly playing it. ;P

I now have a reason to see charlies angels! FFVIII add was running on screen 1 (the largest) it was the add with the missile launch, Quisitis Using the cannon on the boat and sqaul and rinoa dancing. It made watching the ordeal that was the Blair Witch Project worth while!Jed

oooh, so many replies. I haven't been here for a bit because.... eh... well I've been too busy playing FF9, really. Got up to disc three in a couple of days and decided to start again. This time I'm going to make sure I don't miss out on doing a single quest or anything.
I used to love FF8. Never played 7. Now I've played 9, I can see how much 8 sucks! Well, it's still a great game, but completely incomparable in storyline & character development to 9.
I'm in northern Australia, in Queensland. I had been keeping an eye on Amazon.co.uk, Square Europe, and some local Software store internet sites. Also I took many trips to the store. I think I got the game exactly the same day it was released.
I never did see an ad for FF9. I DID see an ad for ff8 once though. On SBS. It's about the only station that has that sort of ad.
I think I'm done now. I'll go back to work :)
