Lilo and Stitch is a great movie, but admittedly Spirited Away is better. It's brilliant to see anime get recognized properly for once! *kicks western world for not liking Miyazaki films more*
(Actually made thread thinking what katy would have to say )
But yes, I preferred Spirited Away too.. my family watching the awards where like "isn't that the japanese dvd you bought?"
My family all fell asleep watching Spirited Away. Now they're like, "hrmm maybe we should try watching that again." MRk MRK n FnK Mz
Quote:Awww! Just be happy Miyazaki is getting some!
And Stitch isn't...
Well...unless you count that Lilo & Stitch hentai that people seem to be so interested in...
*Shudders at the thought*
Congrats for the Ghibli crew though. Beating a "Disney" film (yah yah, I know Disney was releasing SA) in a category such as that is certainly no easy task. And it didn save me from having to shoot someone if Ice Age had one, as SA and Lilo are both clearly superior (don't even get me started on Treasure Planet ).
Looks like the Spirited Away R1 DVDs may get a slightly altered package, and perhaps, even a stronger theatrical release as well.
That was the only category I was actually sitting there with fingers crossed and eyes closed while voicing a win.
And double win, now Lisa is thinking perhaps she should see it and that Lukas might like it ::chuckle::
