So incase like.. anyone was wondering... where I've been...?
...on the 26th I was admitted to the hospital, and on friday had surgery that removed my left ovary and tube, as well as a 10cm cyst. Yup, 10cm.. which meant an entire bikini incision and not just a laproscopy, because they thought it had a hard mass in it (turned out false). The entire experience would take hours to go over in a worthy capacity, so let us just say that a) I will wait before getting surgery from now on, b) I will try ANYTHING besides total anesthesia from now on, and c) I will insist at the tiniest whimsy to ask for an IV drip increase.
Ren, in pain but not on painkillers because painkillers are PURE EVIL INCARNATE.

I just figured you took a mini-vacation from the board, as...well....everyone sorta has in a way at one time or another. But then you come back with something serious and so...real.
All of us here hope you have a speedy and complete recovery, and if it helps any, you can blame the entire incident on Gest. Feel free to tell us as much or as little as you'd like, but not at the expense of rest and your recovery.
And if you have any troubles with that whole fertility thing, you know where to find me.

As for, Ren. Well I cannot say I know how you feel since I am not a woman (at least the last time I checked.... but you know, sometimes @#%$ happens).
But let's just say if I lost one of my balls, I'd probably feel the same way you do now.

Thanks guys for the responses... its still sucking, and I have atleast three weeks left of bloody recovery.
I just HAD to make things even *more* difficult for myself too; I quit smoking, haven't had one in over a week. I'm still getting the sudden mini cravings of doom... cold turkey is awful, but the only way that really works right? Right...

You'll hate it now, but you'll be thankful for giving it up in the long run. It's never easy to give up your drug of choice (Word of warning to anyone: don't even think of touching my caffeinated beverages), but cold turkey is the method that I've seen work (and fail) more than any other. If you can kick it, it should be for good.
Find something relatively constructive to do while you're recovering: read a book, catch up on some movies you may have missed, or even...*gasp* play a game to help take your mind off of it.

I say we make Jim quit caffine cold turkey.
Caffine has some bitch withdrawl symptoms though
