Thanks and Merry Christmas to your gang....just bought a small sheet of white UHMW plastic on E-Bay and plan to fashion step pad inserts for the Lancer. I purchased a pair of reproduction pads and they quickly became sticky, soft and gummy in only one season. They were never exposed to gasoline or harsh chemicals. just wondering if you or anyone has worked with UHMW material and have any tips. thinking it shouldn't be to difficult on a router table and a few bits to machine the pads....except the Chris Craft logo wouldn't be doable:(

I grew up in NW Pennsylvania in a small town whose Indian name stood for "snow place". I know what 2-feet of snow in one day is all about, spent a lot of time as a kid and young man out in it, skiing, shoveling, hunting, and yes learning to drive in it with a full size rear wheel drive Ford.

Looks like the area is under the usual serious blizzard condition now, and it's what makes Lake Erie boaters so tough and appreciative of good weather when they have it. It is also why so many boats in this region are in such good condition, they spend a lot of time indoors or under wraps;-)

Regards,
Paul

CHICAGO — The good news for many in the Northeast and Midwest was that it was a white Christmas. The bad news was that a blizzard swept into parts of New England and bitter cold enveloped much of the Midwest.

Erie, Pa., recieved a record 34 inches of snow.

And it’s not over for Erie - the snow is expected to continue falling through Wednesday.
