Cool. Thank you so much. I’ve been told the 70 19’ never came by a 305 by some and then I see others on the forum that say it did. I hear about the Chris craft essentials guide but can’t afford $300 for a book (off amazon anyway). Anyway, can anyone confirm if it came with a 305 and is it the 305glv or 305k? Still trying to figure this whole thing out haha very hard without literature but I’ve already learned a lot from this forum. Trying to get all my ducks in a row before pickup. I found a completely refinished lower unit but it’s around $1700 but for the price I’m getting the boat I think it would be worth it

Found this today if you really want the CC Essential guide $55. It's a reprint.

Thank you. I’m so torn and beginning to feel selfish about potentially buying the boat now (I wish the 17 worked out or I got this 19 years ago when we were going to do the deal). I took a drive by today to see how it is and unbeknownst to me he took all the hardware off the boat including the windshield (says he should still have it all) and has left the boat exposed to the elements since 2015 without cover. Feel like I might be getting in over my head at this point. I’m good at putting stuff together that I took apart but the lack of information available for these boats and not knowing how it came apart is making me reluctant to buy it. I wish there was a “1970 Chris craft lancer 19 for dummies” book hahah he says he’s going to call me Monday so I can come by and take a more in-depth look at it. By the way it’s not the all blue model.

Hi Travis,
Have you seen this one? Not sure how far away it is from you but it looks pretty good to me!

Yes I spoke to her. It’s a saltwater boat and she doesn’t know much about it other than the outdrive won’t stay down. The guy with the blue lancer was supposed to call me back yesterday and never did.

Too bad about the salt water thing, usually makes a mess out of the exhaust system at minimum. The tilt issue could be as simple as the reverse locking pawl needing repair/lubrication to complete replacement of unit. There are plenty of those units around from $100 to a $1000. Rest of the boat looks pretty good. If the gears are good in the tilt unit you can always use a cordless drill and a bent piece of wire to raise and lower the drive.

Hi Travis - I'm curious, did you happen to get the Hull # from the 17'?   I'm trying to keep track of them as they pop up.

I did not. If you contact the marina they might be willing to give it to you
