+*+96* Saturday the boat got to my shed, we had to improvise because the dolly that had to come together with the boat wasn't unavailable (censorship).
I had to use some tyres and axle jacks to carry the load.
I started removing the awful black rubber rubrail and surprise surprise there's non aluminum trim underneath it.
Dear Taco Marine, Taco# A50-0195 3/4’’ x 3/16’’ Aluminum Rub Rail, 4 piececs, please!
I dismantled the interior in order to have the seat reupholstered.
On the bow I noticed that the original light has been discarderd and the hole plugged
The engine compartment has been modified to accept the huge sterndrive hole. Lift ring and flag socket are gone 0and the recesses in the gunwhale(?) have been filled, hope you can see in the picture:
On the driver side there are 7 holes plugged that could have been used for a searchlight? £ in a row and then 4 in a diamond shape
BTW boat has been painted in the past, at least the deck, have not yet checked the freeboard.
Have a nice day.
Why should an owner change the engine from a 310Hp to a 225Hp?
If I had broken my CC engine I doubt that I'd change for an OMC because of the different sterndrive moreover 100Hp less poweful...
What if it was a V-Drive? Similar power but difficult to service here in Italy, not many in use Here...
I also have a big hole in the bulkhead aft the rear seats poorly closed...
Looks like she will need a little TLC, but it's nothing you can't fix with the help of those on this forum.
