I have a R30 650cc bike. I went to change the side light bulb and went to remove the headlight unit from the dash. The middle allen bolt is spinning round and round. I am not sure quite how the allen bolt is held in place or perhaps how to try and loosen the bolt to remove.

Any ideas on what to try before I get my drill out and try and drill the head off the allen bolt.

Thanks and hope to hear from d=someone soon.

All the best

I managed to solve the problem by using a large mole grip. I clamped the mole grip on the bolt as hard as I could and pulled and the nut popped out. Sounds easy but it I had tried many different ways of trying to to solve the problem. Drilling was really hard because of the close proximity of the mini screen, hacksawing was very difficult, so really out of frustration, I tried pulling as hard as humanly possible, and it worked!!!

I have now bought new nuts for all three bolts.
