Evening guys,

I adjusted the valves and now I cannot start my bike.

Are you setting all 4 valve clearances at TDC?

Did you do them cold, and 4 thou in and 8 thou ex,

you may have undone something to get at them easier, like the coil, just guessing, you did them on the compression stroke not the exhaust stroke, where the rockers loose when you did them or tight?
If it aint sharp I can play with it

Engine was cold.

I’m pretty sure the rockers were tight when I did them. The guide I followed mentioned raising one set of valves to a high point (open?) and then adjusting.

I think fundamentally I should be a bit more aware of the workings of the engine, even if the task is perceived easy like this!

Sorry about me, any additional info from your experience would be great

You need to set the engine to tdc, remove plug on front /top of left hand side case, when removed you will see a mark with a T beside it when you rotate the engine via the centre plug on same casing, As I said you will get 2 tdc, exhaust stroke and compression stroke, you want the comp stroke
