Thanks for the reply, I did look at some of the posts and found some really helpful info, there are not many carvers near me which I guess is a good thing and the ones that are, don't like to talk. It's too bad that this forum has thinned out. There are so many talented people out there. I've learned a fair bit since I started and I guess trial and error makes for great lessons.
Thanks again!

Mark,

By the looks of your initial wood sculpting endeavours you have an innate grasp of that which makes people smile.
Taking care, attention to detail and finishing is already showing through with these pieces.

Only up for you man as the carving explorations broaden.

Over at the Face'brook many chainsaw carving stops have popped up.

Looks good Mark. Keep after it and challenge yourself with each carving to do something bigger or more difficult. I have only been carving 2 years now and still love the challenge of something new. Do not like making the same thing 2-3 times but have had to at times.

Rick glad to 'grin ya. man.

Saw Mark over at FB very soon after therefore would imagine my partly true post was a guiding catalyst help of sorts to put him there.

FB with it's medula tickle 'likes' is pure cyber hypnotic sorcery much like Pavlov's dog experiments.
We all love to be patted and rewarded.

'LIKE' ON brave carver's 'LIKE' ON...

Saw'long.
