My first sculpture since the Ridgway Rendezvous 2012. Thanks to all those whom work so hard to create this great event year after year, and thanks to all my new carver friends from all over the world. There is a lot to reflect upon after my first Rendezvous.

Carving done in Eastern White Cedar.
I have a video Too:

The first photo is flipped 180 degrees from how it was taken. Giving more notice to the "Reflection"
The small boxes you see are birdhouses for Finches.

I like everything about it. Simple design with subtle curiosity for the viewer. I like ur photo spread as well - to me, it shows you're trying to connect with the viewer..... i.e. you care about ur piece.

Something to try with regards to your photo layout: Try the wide shot ( establishing shot ) first, then the medium, then finish with ur close ups. It tells a story - A Walk thru the eye's of a viewer who spots it across the pond and then goes in for a closer look.... I think that's what u were going for.
Anyway, i like the whole damn post, great carving! In a sea of carvings i would gravitate right to this piece

Good job Eric; go out there and create something you feel/see.
I agree your photography is awesome.
Take care!
