I have this saw, and want to put a dime tip carving bar on it. On the Bailey website, they have a parts locator, and it comes up with a bar that will fit this saw,but I seem to remember reading here that I would need to replace the sprocket as well? Anybody got anything on that, and how I would know what sprocket?

This saw was adapted to carving in Europe when it first came out but when it arrive in US it had a different sprocket/oiler system and no aftermarket 1/4 drum has been available. Oregon was working on it but marketing nixed it.

I know that some people have had a machine shop adapt one.

You can run a quarter tip 3/8 on that saw without any change.
