After 3:00, the announcers making excuses for the lack of sharp play "so much at stake for both sides..."

and Chicago scores at about 16:20. Keith.

Announcers are at the "Washington's got to be better" stage already at 13:30 left 1st.

Orlov gets beat backing up and turning late, and Chicago scores again on a mini-breakaway by Stalberg.

2-0 Chicago.

Chimera cut beside his left eye by a stick, but the refs call it a follow through and play continues... almost another goal off a giveaway right in front of Neuvirth... we may see Holtby before the game is through.

7:30 left 1st, SOGs are 10-0... TV timeout.

Now Chimerathrows a hard hit at Oduya, gets mostly boards/glass, chops the stick out of Oduya's hands, and heads for the box for 2:00...

one clear... two clears... three clears... "Washington is tighter here in the PK than they have been 5 on 5"... killed.

2-0 Blackhawks, end 1st.

Shaw scores to make it 4-1.

This one's over, even though there's almost half of the time left.

I'll put the final score up in the morning.

Ovechkin scored his 30th of the year to make it 4-2 with 25:32 left to the game.

Caps pulled Neuvirth with 2:02 left, and 'Hawks scored into an empty net 15 seconds later. Final score: 5-2.

I won't be able to follow tonight's game, and I'm not sure about Thursday's game.

I read about your decision. I think it's a wise one. The playoff games may be worth seeing in person, though, but there may be none this year...
