Third outdoor game for both teams. They both won the first two, but the Caps won them in regulation, and the Leafs had to wait for overtime and the shootout.

Pens lost 8-4 and Flyers lost 4-1 yesterday. Great for the Caps. Now it's time to switch to playoff mode and only play 60-minute games like the last one.
1-1. The lead didn't last long.

It looks like it was a shot from far and there was no deflection. Not good for Holtby.

Caps creating chances, though.

Oshie.

Now the top line.

OVECHKIN!!! #40 and 598! Woohoo!

2-1 Caps.

And this time a huge hit by Wilson on Kadri, one of their four 20-goal scorers.

Wow, what a sequence... Holtby had no idea where the puck was, he kicked it himself towards the line in his back, but fortunately it didn't cross the line completely.

The announcers said he looked "uncomfortable" since the start of the game, "out of it".

Killed.

Another puck sent directly out of play, but by a Leaf, this time, so Caps on the PP after the break.

Hyman checks Ovechkin, who has to clear the puck.

Caps quickly enter the zone back. Kuznetsov, a great feed for Backstrom, who scores!

3-1 Caps.

Wilson hit from behind as he was about take a shot from close.

Caps looking great against one of the best teams in the league.

First intermission, 3-1 Caps.

Nothing to complain about so far, except for Holtby's unreliable play (and it seems he gave up a goal on a very readable shot, unless the puck hit a skate).
