Steaks are always up for interpretation. I don't have one single recipe that floats my steak boat. I like searing in various herbs and rubs, but forget to write it down when it works.

That and whatever is necessary to make the picture shine, right? No need to make it harsh in any way. Although the industry is rife with bs. You win either way. Yeah, that made sense.

Still wide awake at this hour. So the night is young. Where to take it?

Is this a manic state experience or do I just act as if? Sorry, no censoring mechanisms handy. Just got to be me.

I love this unrestrained manic energy, but have no idea how to channel it.

Still happening and still fine. Feeling free as my mind goes. Got to give in to old pattern of over-appreciating a certain population.

1:45 and still alive, rather still awake. Feeling fine, as it were.

Snow days are great for cooking!  I've already got a crustless veggie quiche in the oven.  I'm thinking of making a ground beef/veggie shepherd's pie...I've never made one but seems like a good snow day dinner.

So I made both of those meals and they were really good but I think people who shovel deserve dessert.  So I'm making Irish Soda Bread Pudding.   I haven't made it before but I can't imagine it going wrong!

Simple dinner - St Louis ribs (baked) with homemade sauce (eq parts mustard, ketsup, brown sugar) dry rubs; cut super sweet corn (frozen/steamed - Stop & Shop); tall V8 juice topped with Hickory Smoke Salt --- soooo good - an 8th teaspoon). And another V8!
