Some old CD's just turned up, including the sound track from "Serafina," which is wonderful to hear again, with its distinctive So. African beats, instruments, harmonies, a tribute to the work of Nelson Mandela, et al, in Soweto, South Africa, finally achieving freedom, for their tortured nation.

Saw the show in NYC, where a friend got great tickets and invited me to come down and see it with her. We'd barely been seated, when the performers entered the rear of the theater, from the lobby, and performed the opening music, and dancing, all the way down the isles, and up onto the stage, in those wonderful native costumes, and with their distintive native instruments.
A melancholy memory, as she told me on that trip, that she was being treated for an incureable cancer, which shortly thereafter, took her life, during which, she had nearly qualified for the Olympics high diving preliminary  competitons. She came up to Cape Ann for Thanksgiving, shortly thereafter, enjoying it so much, leaving many friends behind, forever inspired by her grace and courage, and best efforts to survive.

Sirius BPM usually makes my head hurt but I heard a remake of Strange Condition, one of my favorite songs the other day by Morgan Page. I still love the Peter Yorn version but dancy is great.

when both of my kids are in the car... The Young Adult likes to listen to Lady Gag-a, Kei$ha, Katy Perry and some other crap... OMG, I HATE that California Girls song!!!!

when it's just myself & the Shenanigan, we have been listening to the Wicked sound track, because we've entered some contest to get tickets, and if we don'[t win, I'll buy them, and take her

while alone in the car, or just cleaning the house, I've been listening to Rush, Steel Dragon, The Clash, The Spice Girls, (i'm sorry, but I love them!) and Tina Turner!!

Those Modern Day Warriors ... Oh, I just love them!
