Tribute to Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine"  by Ed Sheeran. The original of this is of course amazing...in fact I'm going to listen to that now.  But I really liked the tribute...

Not a song but a movie.

I saw The Blind Side tonight. Not a blockbuster, not Oscar material (other than Sandra Bullock). But a lot of heartwarming, glurgy stuff.

I liked it more than I expected to.

And... did I mention Sandra Bullock?

That was a good movie...I remember it.  I've always liked Sandra Bullock...I think I like her best in the one with Harry Connick Jr. back in the 90's...Hope Floats.

Gotta love me some Gregory Porter.

He has a newer, even better version of this that is exclusive to Spotify. Performed live in the Spotify studios. Check out the bass lines if you listen to the Spotify version. (They're pretty good here, too.)

And for International Women's Day...a blast from the 1970's...I sure remember this...

Jon Pareles compares this band to Gang of Four and Siouxsie and the Banshees, among others.

You decide.

That song makes me sad.  She sings it beautifully.  I like it better than the original by a long shot.
