Gotta learn to express your opinion sooner or later, Dianne. Doing a Willard is just foolish. Talk, not paste.

Come now, PM. You know if I just post it in my own words someone is going to say, "source, please." So I'm just conserving my energy (it is tiresome talking to the same closed minds all the time) and going straight to what they want.

Why bother, Dianne? No one is really listening to your ongoing crapfest that refuses to face the painful truth of Mitt's unsuitability. At least you have the courage of your convictions - you'll be needing more of that as the election looms and all hope is lost. Poor old Walter Mitty will just have to dream on!

My "conviction" is to be smart enough, nonpartisan enough, caring enough, adult enough, willing enough to see what is happening to our country.

You may not have children whose future you care about, Brain, but I do, along with grandchildren.

They are going to be handed a far less free, less prosperous, less tolerant country if Obama is reelected.

Hmmm...I have two children in their low 20's.  I feel that many young people will be indentured servants if Romney is elected.  Further I feel that if Romney is elected, the young women of my sons' generation will subjected to a life where they are second class citizens (no equal pay for equal work, no right to decisions about their reproductive healthcare) and that the gay among their generation will be denied equal rights.  Additionally I fear for those who might plan to one day retire.  Under the Ryan/Romney plan, the elderly will pay (according to the Congressional Budget Office) an additional $6000 per year (over what Medicare would have cost) for the privilege of basic healthcare, on average.  Never mind that they paid into SS & Med their whole working lives.  Many will not be able to afford this...then what?

The least of their worries will be whether they're second class citizens or gay if Obama is re-elected. They'll be standing in bread lines wearing burkas or being flogged for homosexuality.

You're being snookered, Karly, and you don't even know it. Get your information correct, then decide who to vote for. Everything you wrote is, just simply, wrong.

I'm not being snookered.  I'm looking at the situation.  Either way we are in financial difficulty as a country.  With Obama, the difficulty will be born in greater part than now by the wealthy.  With Romney it will be born mostly by the "less than wealthy".  Trickle down has been proven not to work.  I'll at least stand for Civil Rights for everyone, which is certainly not what today's GOP stands for.

No one will win this war until we change the system of paid lobbyists and vested interests who buy votes and influence policy. It hardly matters who is elected President.

Wish I would have had the basic sense to listen and vote for the uber-successful business man. You know the one who also had EXECUTIVE experience on his resume.

deluge down economics would have been the order and we would have long forgotten these worst of economic times. Instead we got the Keynesian and growth has eluded us for years. Yay I'm smart, I voted for'anti-success....weee look at us now!
