Seen this morning on Washington St. in the area between Prospect and Beacon (captions welcome, lol):

"After the mayor "took care of business" in the Port-a-Potty, the EPA designated it a hazardous area and restricted access until the situation could be dealt with."

(or, for the grammarians, is that "... situation with it could be dealt"?)

I saw that too....It's a protest calling all toilets to unite and fight defacing telephone poles with lost pets and yard sale posters. I think they stole the idea from protesting "tree Huggers"!

It was reported on FB today (and I *know* this is not the first time I have seen this exact report) that some man who was jogging took a dump in plain view in the early AM (yes...people are up and can see you!) on Rogers Street.  I would wonder if it was due to this unavailable porta potty but as I said...quite sure this guy is a regular dump and run.

I'm pretty sure it's not because of the running. After all, is the Boston Marathon route soiled with human excrement at the end of the day ever April? That's a lot of runners!

Serial poopers, by contrast, are very intentional. And, in many cases like the neighborhood jogger, they don’t even go through any lengths to keep their identity anonymous.

“It’s a statement,” says Chirban. “They’re expressing aggression through an egregious act.”

"“It is the ultimate F.U. and vandalism crime,”

Yes, I saw that, but people on Facebook are saying things like "this is a common problem with runners and it comes on with great suddenness and urgency and the guy probably had no choice."

That just sound ridiculous to me. I used to run quite a lot and it never happened to me or anyone I ran with.

I had no idea where the runner reference was coming from - I thought perhaps I posted an incorrect link.

Do you still run?

The latest weather update from the NWS in Taunton MA. is calling for 6-12 in.of snow for our area with some areas getting up to 18 in.       Winds may gust up to 55 mph making the Tuesday morning commute less than enjoyable for those on the roads.
